ccd2iso converts CloneCD images to ISO image files.
While the author originally planned to create a Nero image to ISO converter, the development of that feature was put on hold due to struggles with the .nrg file format. The author hopes that CCD2ISO will be useful for others who have encountered similar challenges. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.
Installation of CCD2ISO is straightforward and follows the standard procedure of configuring, making, and installing the software. Once installed, usage of the program is also simple. Users need only provide the .img and .ccd files for the desired CloneCD image and type "ccd2iso [inputfile.img] [outputfile.iso]" in the command line.
Technical details of the software include the fact that CloneCD only dumps CD's raw data, along with a 12 byte synchronization, 4 byte header, and ECC and EDC. Multisession images are not yet fully supported, but single session images are able to be dumped with success.
Planned future enhancements for CCD2ISO include better support for multisession images, ISO image compatible validation, and creation of a GUI front-end. Recent releases have included a couple of sanity checks from Kerry and updating the source to work with Automake 1.9.
