CircleClock displays a circular clock on the screen using a screenlet feature.
The latest version, v0.4 or later, also allows users to toggle the display of rings for hours/seconds from an additional tab in the properties menu. I found this feature to be quite handy, as it allowed me to streamline the display according to my preferences.
For those unfamiliar with screenlets, they are a type of widget application that can be independently developed and run on the screenlet engine. This system primarily operates on X11-based compositing window managers (such as the Compiz architecture in Linux).
Screenlets were initially scripted entirely in Python and drawn in SVG through version 0.0.14. However, later iterations added support for web widgets, which are written in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. This shift made screenlets more versatile and accessible to a wider range of developers.
Overall, I found CircleClock to be a useful addition to my system. Its simple design and customizable options make it a great choice for anyone in need of a sleek and functional clock widget.
