Clabbers is a software tool designed to solve Scrabble racks by generating anagrams. Its primary aim is to assist Scrabble players in finding the best possible words to score high in the game.
The included schema will function with any word list that uses the standard A to Z alphabet. For Debian users, installation is a breeze with just a simple command: apt-get install postgresql libdbd-pg-perl.
Following the installation, the next step is to load the schema into an empty database. Assuming a database called “sowpods” exists and owned by the same username, run the command “psql --user sowpods sowpods < sowpods_schema.sql” to create 27 tables and various indexes. Next, generate the main table from the word list using “make-clabbers-maintable.pl > clabbers-maintable.sql” and then load it to the database with “psql --user sowpods sowpods < clabbers-maintable.sql”.
Finally, generate a metaindex for the word list using “make-clabbers-index.pl > clabbers-index.sql” and load it to the database with “psql --user sowpods sowpods < clabbers-index.sql”. While this process may take some time to complete, it ultimately delivers you the best possible Scrabble experience.
To test the software, run “clabbers.pl and_” and you will receive all possible words for those three letters plus one blank tile. This softwares' intuitive design makes it an indispensable tool for anyone looking to take their Scrabble game to the next level.
Upgrading to this release comes with added benefits such as utilizing the plperl stored procedure to calculate the word index. Overall, Clabbers is a solid software package that delivers on its promises and is an excellent resource for any Scrabble enthusiast looking to improve their game.
