Clever Internet ActiveX Suite

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Clever Internet ActiveX Suite v5.0, and I must say, it did not disappoint. One feature that stood out to me was its full MIME support, which allows for the downloading, uploading and posting of internet resources asynchronously while obtaining all related information without interfering with main application processes. This is extremely helpful in streamlining complicated processes and in maintaining optimal performance.

In addition, the set of e-mail components that come with the suite are impressive. They can connect to mail servers via SSL, send emails with MIME encoded bodies and multiple file attachments, making it a great tool for users who require extensive email functionality.

Other notable features include data compression while retrieving data, working with cookies, simulation web form POST requests, multipart multitreading downloading, allowing you to work by the secured channel (HTTPS) using SSL, the ability of resuming broken or stopped downloads from where they left off on both HTTP/HTTPS and FTP servers. The VB6 demos code, full indexed help system and ActiveX controls are also a plus.

Another great thing about this suite is that it can be used with any language that has com-support routines, including VBScript and JavaScript engines. This makes it accessible to a wide variety of users with different programming backgrounds.
