Clonator ICON's KDE service menu can simplify the process of cloning, deleting, and viewing folder theme icons.
1. Clone icon - this feature enables you to make a copy of your current selection, be it one or more files. However, it is only possible to clone smaller destinations. For instance, if you select an icon of 64x64 pixels in APPS, the script will create versions of the same icon in 32x32/apps, 22x22/apps, and 16x16/apps, all in the same folder. Larger versions, such as 128x128 and others, will not be cloned.
2. Trash smaller icons - after a confirmation dialog, this feature will move all smaller icons to the Trash. For instance, if you select the file 64x64/apps/konqueror.png, the script will move the files 32x32/apps/konqueror.png and 22x22/apps/konqueror.png to the Trash, but not files of 128x128/apps/konqueror.png or other larger versions.
3. Trash other icons - after a confirmation dialog, this feature will move all other files to the Trash except for the current selection. For instance, if you select the file 64x64/apps/konqueror.png, the script will move all files except for apps/konqueror.png in 128x128, 96x96, 72x72, 56x56, 48x48, 32x32, 22x22, and 16x16 sizes to the Trash. It is advised to use this feature with caution.
4. View clones - this feature displays all icons with the same name as the current selection in the "size folders". It is displayed in a passive popup that lists all possible sizes, including 128x128, 96x96, 72x72, 64x64, 56x56, 48x48, 32x32, 22x22, and 16x16. Take a look at the captura.png file in the tar file to see how it works.
To use Clonator ICON, you need to have KDE installed. The latest release fixed a problem with charset. Overall, Clonator ICON is an excellent service menu for KDE that can greatly improve your icon management experience.
