SAPID is a free CMS for small businesses. It offers various services such as news channels, RSS-channels, guest book, gallery, survey, and personalization. SAPID can manage different site formats including HTML, Flash, WML, and XML/XSL.
To begin with, SAPID is an open source CMS that is simple to install, operate and manage. All you need is approximately 1 Mb of disk space at your hosting server, which supports PHP 4.xx. It is worth mentioning that you don't have to use a database or make any special settings on the server, you can use any hosting plan that suits you the best. Simply copy the package files and initiate the install.php script in your browser. The script customizes the system according to your server settings. You'll find a demo site with a variety of examples, including a virtual guide, that turns the introduction into SAPID into an alluring game.
After you log into the system, the first thing that will greet you is the structure management interface where you can effortlessly add or delete pages; you can even modify their properties in a similar manner to Windows, with the added benefit of the Drag & Drop mechanism. Moreover, you can easily create or edit page content thanks to the direct WYSIWYG editing ability.
One of the greatest advantages of SAPID is that despite its simplicity and usability, its functional capabilities are boundless, mainly because of the system's support for XML Sapiens technology. You can use interface solutions from the demo site such as info channels, navigation menus, RSS channels, and interactive forms, or you can leverage web-services from the public functional solutions library, XML Sapiens Work Gallery. You can even post your solutions to the library!
SAPID is not limiting when it comes to data presentation formats. You can manage an HTML or Flash site, or choose from XML-XSL or WML sites. Its versatility makes it a standout option for your web-site building needs. With SAPID, you won't be stuck with limited capabilities or a difficult to navigate interface.
