CodeCleaner restructures C, C++, C# and Java source code through re-indentation and formatting.
Other editors, such as Emacs, are capable of automatically adding whitespace to lines to make them more visually appealing, sometimes causing chaos with the indentation that previously relied solely on tabs. Unfortunately, the number of space characters displayed on screen for each tab character is specific to each editor, meaning that when software developers move from one editor to another, the transition can often result in mixed-tab and space-indenting. This has the unfortunate effect of transforming what was once perfectly formatted code into an unattractive mess.
However, even if you are careful to use only spaces or tabs, the source code of other software developers can still pose problems. Given that most developers are obsessively concerned with lines, brace placement, and indentation, this can make it difficult to view the source code of other developers, regardless of how carefully you format your own.
To address this problem, the creators of CodeCleaner have produced an easy-to-use program that can automatically reformate and re-indent your C/C++/C#/Java source files, stripping out any unwanted spaces, tabs or other formatting inconsistencies. This is an excellent tool for software development companies seeking to establish clear and concise styles across their teams.
