Export Combine database records in XML format with this software.
The CombineExport comes with a wide range of features like --jobname which is used to find the appropriate configuration (mandatory). It includes options and arguments like --profile which has three profiles: alvis, dc, and combine. Alvis and combine are similar XML formats. The 'alvis' profile format is defined by the Alvis enriched document format DTD. It uses the charset UTF-8 per default. The ‘combine’ profile is more compact with less redundancy. The ‘dc’ is XML encoded Dublin Core data.
There’s also the --charset option that lets users select specific character sets from UTF-8, iso-latin-1. This option overrides --profile settings. The --collapseinlinks feature is included too. It lets users skip inlinks with duplicate anchor-texts (i.e just one inlink per unique anchor-text). --nooutlinks option ensures that there are no outlinks included in the exported records.
The CombineExport module also has the --ZebraIndex feature that sends XML records directly to the Zebra server defined in Combine configuration variables "ZebraHost". It uses the default Zebra configuration: profile=combine, nooutlinks, collapseinlinks and is compatible with the direct Zebra indexing done during harvesting when 'ZebraHost' is defined in the Combine configuration. Requires that the Zebra server is running. The --SolrIndex feature is included too, which sends XML records directly to the Solr server defined in the Combine configuration variable 'SolrHost'. It uses the default Solr configuration: profile=combine, nooutlinks, collapseinlinks and is also compatible with the direct Solr indexing done during harvesting when 'SolrHost' is defined in the Combine configuration. Note that it requires a running Solr server.
The module includes the --xsltscript feature that generates records in Combine native format and converts them using this XSLT script before output. It includes example scripts in /etc/combine/*.xsl. The --number option allows users to set the maximum number of records to be exported. The --recordid feature lets users export only one record with this recordid. There's also the --md5 that is used to export just one record with this MD5 checksum.
Finally, the CombineExport module includes the --pipehost and --pipeport options. Users can specify the server-name and port to connect to and export data using the Alvis Pipeline. Exports incrementally, ie all changes since the last call to combineExport with the same pipehost and pipeport. Also, the --incremental feature exports incrementally, ie all changes since the last call to combineExport using --incremental.
