CAMP is an all-encompassing interface for MP3 players including mpg123, xaudio, and amp, providing comprehensive control and management.
When installing the camp-source, you'll need to execute a series of commands, including:
- ./configure
- make
- make install
- cp skins.tar ~/.camp
- cd ~/.camp
- tar xvf skins.tar
Keep in mind that you should edit the file "/.camp/camprc" in your homedirectory to ensure the player variable is pointing to mpg123 or another command-line mp3 player that you prefer. CAMP has been tested on different Linux distributions and has been shown to compile and run correctly.
In the latest release, numerous improvements have been made, including fixing some small bugs that caused segmentation faults. Additionally, users can now take advantage of mpg123 jukebox mode, and there's a new skin called 'leetamp.'
It's worth noting that while CAMP has been known to work with previous versions of SunOS and *BSD, it's recommended to stick with Linux distributions to avoid any potential issues.
