This Firefox browser add-on adds a sidebar for Content Preferences, offering an easy way to adjust settings for your browsing experience.
What's great about this extension is that it makes all the settings site-specific. This means that once you set a preference for any of these settings, whether through the sidebar or through the traditional UI in the View menu, Firefox will remember that preference for the site you're browsing and automatically apply it next time you visit that site.
Using Content Preferences is quite simple. All you need to do is install the extension and restart Firefox, then select View > Sidebar > Content Preferences. What's more, the addon is cross-platform and works perfectly fine with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.
One thing to note is that the extension requires Firefox 3.0 – 3.1a2pre. Overall, I am quite impressed with the Content Preferences extension and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a way to easily configure site-specific content preferences in Firefox.
