ConvertImages is a software that converts files to JPEG and allows the user to add suffix or prefix to the name, among other features.
Speaking with some people in photo services, I learned that they needed a tool to quickly convert their camera files from 72 DPI to other resolutions. Thus, the main reason for creating ConvertImages.
Some key features of ConvertImages include the ability to set resolution as needed for each file individually, ensuring that every file is set accordingly. The only limitations of the unregistered version are the number of simultaneous conversions and that preferences are not saved.
With the latest release, a nasty bug on resolution settings has been removed. ConvertImages requires at least Mac OS X 10.2 or higher (10.3 recommended) or Mac OS 9.1-9.2.2 and has been tested under 10.4 (Tiger) pre-release.
Overall, ConvertImages is a highly customizable and efficient converter that perfectly fits my needs for creating my first Mac OS X app.
