Get the current Camino URL, convert it into plain text, and copy it to your clipboard with a free Applescript.
Installing Copy URL as Plain Text is a breeze. Simply unzip the file and copy it to the directory ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Camino/ (where the tilde represents your home folder), making sure to create any necessary subfolders. Once the script is installed, you can access it through the "Camino Scripts" heading in your system-wide Script menu. If you have Camino 1.6 or later, you can even add the script to your Camino toolbar by using the "Customize Toolbar" drop-down sheet.
Once installed, using Copy URL as Plain Text couldn't be easier. When you're on a webpage that you want to copy the URL and title for, simply activate the script from the Script menu or toolbar. The script will automatically grab the URL and page title from the current tab, format it into two lines, enclose the URL in angle brackets, and copy it to the clipboard.
Overall, Copy URL as Plain Text is a fantastic tool for Camino users who need to quickly and easily copy webpage URLs and titles. And since it's free, there's no reason not to give it a try.
