CornerClock is a software that showcases a chiming clock on the top left corner of the screen.
With CornerClock, you have the option of displaying either the time or date by default, and the other will appear when you place your cursor over the corner. Furthermore, you can easily toggle off the display and just use the chime functionality.
One of the coolest things about CornerClock is that it includes a variety of chimes of its own, and it also loads the system sounds for optional chimes. Additionally, you can effortlessly add or change chimes to CornerClock by using ResEdit and editing the "snd" resource.
Chime sounds run from ID 140 through 199, which must be successive. CornerClock detects an unused slot and stops loading sounds. You can play these chimes at the hour, or 15, 30, and 45 minutes after the hour, with the option of playing different chimes at different time slots.
In the latest update, CornerClock has introduced alternate clock colors, a new chime, and fixed a bug that prevented the No Display option from being selected. The Preference dialog now displays sample clocks for options selected, and Preferences moved under Edit menu.
In conclusion, CornerClock is an excellent desktop utility that efficiently provides essential functions to improve your experience. Its chiming feature adds beauty while its customization options give you the freedom to personalize your setup according to your preferences.
