Crosssum is a software that allows users to create and enjoy cross sum puzzles. It's a puzzle game designed for players looking for a fun challenge.
When you're in playing mode, you can change the numbers in the puzzle by clicking on the square you want to change. The number for the square will depend on the position in the square where you clicked. If you're in verifying play mode, you'll see highlighted answers that are erroneous.
In designing mode, you have the ability to change a square from an answer square to a blank one by clicking on it. One click will toggle it. Once you've finished designing, you can use the ^r key to compute a puzzle for the board. The squares will be mirrored by default, but you can override this by pressing CTRL while clicking.
The rules of the game are straightforward. First, sums must be formed using strings of [1,9] with no duplicates. Second, gray squares represent the answers. Numbers above the diagonal are the answers for the sum to the right, and numbers below the diagonal are the answers for the sum below.
To play the game, you'll need Qt and qmake. The latest update of the Crosssum Project fixes a silly crash. Overall, this puzzle game is engaging, challenging, and perfect for anyone who loves crosswords or numbers.
