Allows users change filenames of files by performing actions on them. Users can also preview changes before performing. Program also supports command line feature.
Version: 1.7.5D-FileMU is a small, fast and easy to use program that allows users to modify filenames of a number of files at once by performing actions on them such as adding strings, deleting first/last 'n' characters, replacing strings(case and non-case sensitive replacemenet), changing case, changing file extension, addition of sequenced numbering(normal or even type) to the beginning or end of filename, changing file attributes etc. Users are allowed to choose more than one action at once.
Operating System: Windows
Users can select a number of files from any number of drives or directories and can also select files by different methods. Once the actions to be performed and the files on which to perform the actions are selected, users can then preview the changes that are going to occur and if that is what they want, can perform the changes.
At any point before performing the changes, users can click on the 'Back' button to go make changes to actions or files selected. After performing changes, a process file is created which contains a detailed step by step procedure of how the filenames were modified which can be viewed by the user after the changes have been completed. Users can also use the program as a command line utility.
