Dartchik is a customizable Superkaramba theme suitable for daily use on any system, with straightforward configuration options.
To use Dartchik, you will need to ensure that you have several requirements installed, including Superkaramba, lm_sensors, hddtemp, p7zip and kwrite (or any other editor of your choice).
To install lm_sensors, simply use "emerge -Dva lm_sensors" or "apt-get install lm_sensors" (or something similar) as root. Then, configure sensors with "sensors-detect" as root and check that it is working with "sensors". The daemon must also be started by default, which can be achieved with "rc-update add lm_sensors default && /etc/init.d/lm_sensors restart" (for Gentoo users).
To install hddtemp, use "emerge -Dva hddtemp" or "apt-get install hddtemp" (or something similar) as root. Then, configure hddtemp with "nano /etc/conf.d/hddtemp". The daemon must also be started by default, which can be achieved with "rc-update add hddtemp default && /etc/init.d/hddtemp restart" (for Gentoo users).
In the latest release of Dartchik, several improvements have been made. These include fixed fonts and notes, as well as versions now available for x1024 and x768 resolutions. These updates ensure that Dartchik remains a top choice for users looking for a reliable and easy-to-use Superkaramba theme.
