Python decorators improve living through software.
That's where decorator comes in. This software aims to simplify the process of using decorators, both for experienced programmers and those just starting out. It even includes examples of useful decorators, such as memoize, tracing, redirecting_stdout, and locked.
To get started with decorator, simply unzip the archive into a directory called "decorator" in your Python path. If you're on a Unix system, you can use the following command:
$ unzip decorator.zip -d decorator
Once you've installed the software, you can test it out by going into the package directory and running:
$ python doctester.py documentation.txt
This will generate the main.py file containing all the examples discussed in the documentation, and will run the corresponding tests. With decorator, writing custom decorators has never been easier!
