Dnote is a text browser that simplifies file search by providing a list of frequently accessed directories. The software eliminates the need for constant browsing through Explorer, as users can directly access files for editing by selecting the relevant directory.
The software screen is divided into three sizable areas, namely the List of Directories (which can be either all paths or your favorite list), List of Files (can be a filtered list, e.g., *.BAT; *.TXT), and File Display, which shows the file.
Dnote features Power Search, a quick way to search a hard drive for document type information. Unlike Windows 'find', Dnote only searches directories specified by the user, preventing wastage of time looking for documents in system directories. Quick View and Autosave options further increase the efficiency of the software.
Another feature of Dnote is the ability to view strings (readable text) from any binary or DLL file. Overall, Dnote is an excellent choice for users seeking a potent and reliable text editor for their everyday needs.
