The Disk Performance Analyser for Networks is a user-friendly utility that identifies and reports fragmentation-related performance degradation on networked systems. It presents a convenient single-location solution that was previously unavailable.
This stand-alone utility is easy to use and provides a single point of analysis for your networked systems. Once installed, the tool presents a list of accessible computers on your domain(s) that are ready for analysis. Pick your targets, and a small agent is briefly copied to these systems to begin the analysis process.
The agent quickly collects disk fragmentation information from the targeted computers and sends the data to the Disk Performance Analyser for Networks' main console. After the data collection is complete, the agent completely removes itself from the remote client systems.
Next, the Disk Performance Analyser for Networks generates a comprehensive report showing performance degradation on selected remote computers caused by fragmentation.
Note that Service Pack 2 for Windows XP (SP2) contains security enhancements that may affect network functionality in Executive Software's products.
