dproc software supports Linux-compatible digital video cards to capture video, audio, teletext and epg data with ease.
To broadcast a DVB-stream correctly, you need to set the correct route by entering "/sbin/route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev eth0" in the command line.
In addition, dproc comes with five modules that allow you to do everything from getting teletext to handling video and audio devices. These include "tt" for getting teletext, "net" for broadcasting via RTP, "rec" for recording media, "dvr" for handling video and audio devices, and "epg" for getting EPG data.
Each module has the ability to handle basic commands such as "stat" and "help." At the telnet prompt, you can enter a range of commands, such as "rec temp.mpg" to start recording to a file named temp.mpg, "epg start" followed by "epg show" to see the current and next EPG data for the current channel, and "#ProSieben; tt start" to switch to the ProSieben channel and start getting its teletext data.
The latest version of dproc comes with bug fixes in epgdb.cpp and improved SQL treatment in class modules. If you're looking for a robust software that can simplify your media handling, look no further than dproc.
