DSHub is a software that acts as a hub for Direct Connect Network. It enables users to connect with other users and share files over the network.
To use DSHub, simply download it from the provided site. This software is free for every user to take for themselves, and can be redistributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. DSHub comes in a zip archive, and is now open-source. The sources for current binaries can be found on the site. For installation, DSHub is a Java-based software developed by Sun. So, you'll need the JRE, or Java Runtime Environment, to run it properly. You can find the JRE on the provided site, and the minimum version required is 1.5.0.0. Once you have the JRE installed, just create a folder for your hub and paste the DSHub.jar file downloaded from the site.
To use DSHub, you can either read the manual or run it from the command line by using the following command: path_to_java_exe -jar path_to_DSHub.jar. For example, on Linux, you would use java -jar /home/user/myhub/dshub.jar.
