The Mozilla add-on generates fake text designed to assist designers and developers in inserting text into layouts awaiting actual copy. It provides a variety of options for text generation and is easily adjustable according to the users' preferences.
A context menu option, aptly named "Insert Dummy Lipsum" appears in the context menu when the cursor is in a form field, making it almost effortless to fill the selected field with dummy text. Moreover, you can configure the default values for each type of field, or allow Dummy Lipsum to try to detect the size of the field before generating the text.
The app even caters to users who want more control over the text generated, allowing them to replace some of the characters with special characters that they define. The default values for text generation can be configured from the options window, giving users complete control over the generated text.
If you use TinyMCE or Xinha, you're in luck! Dummy Lipsum is compatible with both WYSIWYG HTML editors, making it easy for you to quickly insert dummy text. Say goodbye to tedious typing with Dummy Lipsum!
