Durak is a card game for up to 6 players. Each player is dealt 6 cards from a shuffled deck of 36 cards. The game requires a visible top card from the deck, which is placed at the bottom face-up.
To determine the trump suit, the top card of the remaining deck is placed face up at the bottom of the deck so that its denomination is visible. This card is actually part of the deck and will be the last card to be drawn.
If the attack succeeds, the defender loses their turn and the attack passes to the player on the defender's left. In the event of a failed attack, the defender becomes the next attacker. The game follows a clockwise direction, with each player taking their turn in succession.
In Durak, aces are high, and trump cards are always higher than non-trump cards. Non-trump attacking cards can be beaten by either a higher card of the same suit or a trump card. However, trump attacking cards can only be beaten by higher trumps.
Overall, Durak is an enjoyable card game that requires strategic planning and quick thinking. It is easy to learn, making it a great choice for family game night or social gatherings with friends.
