Eispice is a re-developed version of the Berkley Spice 3 simulator to focus on PCB level simulation.
The developer had two primary motivations for creating this software. Firstly, he had been using Berkley Spice 3 for PCB level SI simulations but found it to be a little slow. With Eispice, most simulations will run faster because the SuplerLU matrix library is faster than spice's Sparse Matrix library. Secondly, he wanted to add direct ibis support to spice. However, when he delved into the source code, he came to the conclusion that it would be easier to start from scratch due to the overwhelming number of global variables present.
It is important to note that the current release is still in alpha, and as such, it does not contain all of the features that the developer would like it to have. Additionally, it may be unstable and may not even compile on certain machines.
