Modern GTK theme designed for GNOME desktop with clean interface.
Installing the elementary GTK theme was a breeze. All I had to do was right-click on my desktop and select "Change Desktop Background". From there, I clicked on the first tab labeled "Theme", and I simply dragged and dropped the theme's archive into the Appearance Preferences window. After a moment, a confirmation message appeared telling me that everything was good to go. From there, I was able to activate the theme with just a single click.
For those who may be unfamiliar with GNOME, it is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment entirely from free software. This includes creating software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.
GNOME is part of the GNU Project, and it can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux. It can also be used as part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things "just work". Overall, I would definitely recommend checking out the elementary GTK theme and seeing how it can improve your GNOME desktop experience.
