"Email Files Thunderbird" is a straightforward software script that allows the user to easily send one or multiple files using the Thunderbird email service.
The script automatically updates the subject line based on the attached files. If you choose to send to your specific email address, details about the sending date, user, and host are automatically added in the body. Compared to other similar service menus, this script enables you to attach more than one file at a time and updates the subject line automatically.
Using Email Files Thunderbird is pretty easy. You just have to make the two .sh files executable (if necessary) and place them in a directory of your path such as /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin. Next, place the service menu file EmailWithThunderbird.desktop in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus.
It is important to note that in file EmailWithThunderbirdToMyAddress.sh, you must specify your email address in to=.... This means where it is written as [email protected].
The project was successfully tested on OpenSuSE 10.2 with KDE 3.5.6. Overall, Email Files Thunderbird is an efficient and convenient software script for streamlining the process of sending multiple files with Thunderbird.
