The Embedded Windows CE VOIP Developers Kit offers an embeddedtelephony solution for developing device-to-device phone calls using SIP/H323 phones at the electronics level. It provides hardware and software solutions for telephony development.
With a memory overhead of only 3MB, the telephony engine is perfect for engineers looking to port highly advanced SIP or H323 protocols to the embedded world. The Research Lab further empowers users to create production level voip systems with a range of tools. These include a complete multi-lingual speech synthesis workbench using Festival TTS, a complete multi-lingual speech recognition workbench using ISIP ASR, and Speaker Verification (with two algorithms) Ported to Embedded: Edinburgh Speech Tools Library.
Other features of the kit include the ability to make PC-to-DEVICE, DEVICE-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, or Phone-to-Phone calls, as well as create instant messaging (IM) sessions over the internet on Windows CE. Users can establish both voice and video calls on device-device calls, and presence information on a list of contacts is also supported.
To enhance the capability of any session, users can add application sharing and whiteboard features. There is IP-Address or DNS based direct connectivity, gateway specification with/without Login, gatekeeper specification with/without Login, and Proxy/Firewall NAT support with Realm Login.
Other functionalities of the system include voice and ring volume adjustment, the ability to save a conversation to a wave file, a mobile answering machine, mobile interactive voice response, mobile professional call center, and VOIP using an IP Phone (for registered users only).
This kit also includes an embedded IP phone connected via Ethernet to a router, which is connected to the internet, and ultimately to a VOIP service provider. In summary, the Embedded Windows CE VOIP Developers Kit is an excellent tool for creating bespoke embedded telephony solutions.
