EMUlaunch is a software that enables users to launch games across 15 of the most commonly used gaming emulators.
For users interested in finding emulators for the Mac, EMUSCENE.COM is a great resource. It's important to respect the hard work put in by the creators of the games and only own the appropriate games for any ROMs on your computer.
While EMUlaunch is a neat piece of software, there are some known issues with the current version. For example, MacMAME files aren't currently supported when located on an external drive. Additionally, Japanese and other Uni-character screenshots will not display correctly. However, the development team plans on fixing these issues in a future update.
By default, EMUlaunch is designed to look for ROMs and screenshots in the same manner as MacMAME. This default setting was chosen to keep the configuration screen as small as possible. If users would like to customize their ROMs, screenshots, or box art for their emulators, they can choose specific folders within EMUlaunch’s configuration screen. Alternatively, they can change the values directly through the EMUlaunch-games.xml and EMUlaunch-mame.xml files.
It's worth noting that there is a line in each console's configuration file that specifies the path where ROMs and related files are stored. Users can easily replace the paths in the configuration line with the location of their own ROMs.
Last but not least, to run EMUlaunch on your Mac, you'll need a G4 processor that's 1GHz or better.
