eMule Collection handler is a KDE service menu that enables users to extract ed2k links with ease.
To install the software, simply decompress the archive tar xzvf emcSM.tar.gz and follow the README file. Many thanks to wuischke for the original shell script, but unfortunately, the developer's contact information is currently unavailable.
To use eMule Collection handler, you'll need to have KDE installed on your system. If you're using Kubuntu, Debian, or a Debian-based distribution, you can use the following command to install: sudo dpkg -i amule-emc_1.0_i386.deb cp handleEmc.desktop ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus.
For other distributions, simply run tar xjvf amule-emc.tar.bz2, cd amule-emc, and follow the instructions in the README file. Once installed, you can access the service menu by right-clicking on "emulecollection" files in Konqueror or Dolphin.
In the latest release, eMule Collection handler includes a simplified .deb installer for the amule_emc script. Try it out for yourself and simplify your ed2k link extraction process.
