EventTracker is a centralized software that monitors all events on Windows NT/2000 systems in your network. It provides real-time event display and logging into a database.
The first of these components is the EventTracker Agent. This small but powerful client component is completely configurable and runs as a service on NT/2000/MSCS machines. Its primary function is to forward system events to the EventTracker Manager.
Speaking of which, the EventTracker Manager is the second component of the software. This component is what receives and monitors the events that are forwarded by the EventTracker Agent. Additionally, it logs them into a MS Access engine so you can keep track of everything that's happening on your systems.
Finally, there's the EventTracker Viewer. This is a Java-based GUI that can be launched from anywhere in the Internet or intranet. It's incredibly easy to use and provides you with a secure way to view any Windows NT/2000 in real time. Plus, there's a history view of events previously logged by the EventTracker server, so you can always go back and review older information. Best of all, the program provides great flexibility when it comes to report generation, so you can get the data you need to optimize your systems.
