Everborn Leonardo is multiplayer game software that replicates the Master of Magic concept with real-time combat features.
While there is still much work to be done, the game offers a host of impressive features. To start, the Completely redesigned GUI system offers a fully immersive gaming experience. Plus, friendly contextual help is available on most items, making it easy to jump right into the game.
Another standout feature of Everborn is the spellbook, which finally allows players to cast spells. The renewed prod menu, with a working queue, is another useful aspect of the game. Additionally, initial spells are provided in each book, and research bonuses and cast bonuses are dependent on the amount of books of a certain realm you have.
The battle model has also been changed, forcing players into battles and only allowing one battle to occur at a time. Moreover, negative gold, mana, and food now have real (bad) consequences, adding an extra layer of challenge to the game.
One last thing to note is that enchantments may vanish and units may desert, so you can never be too sure what will happen next. To play Everborn, you will need the following: OpenGL, SDL, and libpng. So, give it a try and compare it to Master of Magic to see for yourself why Everborn is such a great game.
