Excelsior is a GTK theme engine that uses the Clearlooks design as its base.
Users can adjust these settings to create a customized look and feel for their desktop environment. For example, they can choose different styles for the progress bars, buttons, tabs, and toolbars. They can also enable or disable random stripes on buttons and tabs, adjust the opacity of the stripes, and choose whether to show entry's inner border all the time or only on focus.
Excelsior 1.5.0 also allows users to change engine-options within Gnome-Color-Chooser, which makes it even easier to customize the theme. Users can simply use the Gnome-Color-Chooser to modify the Theme, and then install the theme using the following commands:
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
su -c "make install" / sudo make install
Overall, Excelsior is a great option for users who want to create a customized look and feel for their desktop environment. If you're interested in trying this theme engine out, comments and feedback are always welcome.
