FACHODA Complex is a high-speed flight simulation software designed for air combat scenarios.
However, the developer acknowledges that the game's sound is now broken, although it worked perfectly on Gravis Ultrasound. He recommends that you disable the sound with -nosound, and try -xcolor or the SDL version when experiencing color issues. At the time of development, the game required a Pentium with MMX and NASM.
While the game may be old and outdated, the developer has no plans to upgrade the code. Instead, he intends on coding a newer and advanced flight simulator. Although he's already started and stopped the development process, he's open to incorporating new ideas from fans of the game. For instance, someone suggested adding a reverse gear to the plane, and he's willing to incorporate that idea in future versions of the game.
To run this game, you must have NASM (Netwide Assembler), X11 Libs, or SDL. In the latest release of the game, the source code is now available, and some planes have been added. Whether you're a fan of air combat simulators, or you're just looking to experience the joy of an old-school game, FACHODA Complex Project is definitely worth checking out. So, get ready to blast into the cockpit and show off your air combat skills!
