A free, open source software designed to enable music library sharing across multiple devices on a network. Easily share and access music files without compromising on security or usability.
One of the great things about the Firefly music server is the fact that all common configuration options are readily available from the Firefly icon within System Preferences. This means setup and customization is easy and efficient.
If you prefer using iTunes to organize your music library, Firefly will read all of your playlists from the library and make them available. This includes your iTunes Smart Playlists and any playlists that contain Internet radio stations (SoundBridge software version 2.5.173 or later is required to play Internet radio stations displayed by Firefly).
For Mac users, an additional feature to consider is the Status Item which enables a small icon in the menu bar to be able to quickly check Firefly's status and start and stop the server. This puts control at your fingertips and makes it very convenient to manage Firefly at all times.
All in all, the Firefly music server is a fantastic option for those who are looking to share their music library over a network of devices. It is user-friendly, efficient, and packed with great features that make it a worthwhile investment.
