Firefox Form Widgets replaces the default form widgets of Firefox.
One of the standout features of Firefox Form Widgets is that it is not dependent upon KDE, but is styled with it in mind. The CSS is modified from the default, with all but the radio and checkbox images created by the Pretty Widgets for OS X, which are included in a readme.
The style is designed in such a way that everything can still be styled by a website. For the buttons, even if only a background color is supplied, the gradient is still applied, making the whole widget look better.
While originally created for personal use, the developer decided to distribute it for others to enjoy, with the possibility of putting in more work if there is interest.
Installation is a breeze, just download and then: sudo cp -r /usr/lib/firefox/res/ /usr/lib/firefox/res_original tar -xvvzf KDEwidgets.tar.gz sudo mv ./KDEwidgets/* /usr/lib/firefox/res/
One requirement to note is that KDE is necessary to take full advantage of Firefox Form Widgets.
Overall, I found the latest release to be a great addition, as it included a partial style that really adds to the overall aesthetic. If you're looking to upgrade your Firefox experience, this is definitely worth checking out.
