This flashcard software enables users to create and utilize flashcards with extended questions.
An introductory test of U.S. Capitals is included to help users familiarize themselves with the program and create their custom tests. Flash Cards II offers three modes for users to choose from: "See", "Hear", and "Both" ("See and Hear") for displaying Questions and Answers. User preferences are saved for future sessions for each mode selected.
To start using Flash Cards II, click on U.S. Capitals, select a mode, and click on the "Start" button. Tests are automatically randomized to display unique orders of questions. For the "See" mode, a gray overlay appears with the first question, and users can press the "Cursor Right" key to view the answer. The "Cursor Down" key is for progressing to the next question, while the "Cursor Up" key is for reversing to the previous question.
In "Hear" mode, users can repeat the current question by clicking the "Cursor Left" key and listen to the answer again by clicking the "Cursor Right" key. The test can be paused and resumed by clicking the "Stop" and "Start" buttons, respectively. Users can retake the test by clicking on the test title in the list.
Flash Cards II allows users to create custom tests using TextEdit or the Maintenance Window. To create a test, click on the Maintenance menu item, and the Maintenance Window will appear.
