Folder Account for ThunderBird is an add-on that allows users to assign accounts and identities to specific folders within ThunderBird, streamlining email management.
The extension adds two straightforward options that allow you to choose which accounts or identities to use while composing, replying, or forwarding emails based on the selected folder. For instance, if two users share a set of folders, you can configure ThunderBird to use different return addresses for each user while working on their folders.
Also, the Folder Account for ThunderBird permits you to set a default To address for newly composed messages depending on the folder you're working in. This option can come in handy while handling mailing lists since your message will be automatically addressed correctly when created in the mailing list folder.
If the current folder has no From address or To address specified, the extension will check the parent folder, enabling you to control the settings for an entire branch of your folder tree at once. With Thunderbird version 0.9 or later, you're good to go with the Folder Account for ThunderBird extension.
