Fookb is a software tool that displays the state of the Xkb keyboard.
Primarily designed for WindowMaker window manager, Fookb can be compiled as a dockable application with libWUtil (prior to 3.0 libPropList) support. For proper configuration, users should utilize the ~/GNUStep/Defaults/FOOkb file. However, Fookb can still be utilized without WindowMaker and/or libProplist/libWUtil.
To use Fookb, libX11 and libXpm are necessary components. Without WindowMaker, Fookb will still function as a typical X11 application. In cases where libWUtil/libProplist are not available, Fookb should be configured through X resources and/or command line parameters. As a versatile and user-friendly software, Fookb is an efficient option for those seeking an Xkb state indicator.
