Visual Folder Tree Builder is a user-friendly software that allows for easy creation of JavaScript applets without coding. It enhances the appearance of a website with a professional look and feel, using a Windows Explorer-like layout to organize documents and folders.
Visual Folder Tree Builder offers a preview of your tree and allows you to select, move, and remove folders and documents with the use of a mouse. Buttons are available for adding new folders, new documents, and removing them from the tree. When using the remove button, the currently selected document or folder will be deleted.
Adding a sub-folder to a currently selected folder can be achieved with the New Folder button. However, if a document is selected, a folder is added to the document's folder. Likewise, if a document is selected, the Document button adds a new document to the selected document's folder. You may set a name for a selected folder or document in the Caption text-box.
Link text-box is used to designate a link for a document or folder and folders may also link to somewhere. If a link starts with http:// (or ftp:// and etc.), the link will be searched on another server, otherwise, it will be searched in the same place where your tree is located. The [...] button allows you to select a file name of a link, which helps save time typing the name of the link.
You can set a target in the Link target drop-down box, where two possible choices exist - main_frame or _blank. When main_frame is selected, the folder's target can only be main_frame, however, it can be altered to any other name in "Global Properties". When _blank is selected, a link will open in a new browser window. The Initial state drop-down box allows you to set an Opened, Closed state for a selected folder, which is extremely useful.
Overall, Visual Folder Tree Builder is an excellent software that provides a visual shell for creating JavaScript applets without any knowledge of JavaScript. It offers a hassle-free way to organize documents and folders, as well as adding and removing them from the tree. Furthermore, it allows you to select targets and set states for a selected folder or document, which makes things a lot easier.
