FTPortal allows users to conveniently upload files to designated folders on an FTP server. This software simplifies file transfer tasks by streamlining the process and providing users with a user-friendly interface.
You can upload files by either copying them to the FTPortal application or using a contextual menu when control-clicking on them in Finder. Both the application and the contextual menu can be personalized to upload to any folder of your FTP accounts.
One unique feature of FTPortal is that it is bundled with a file utility named Touvaly, which creates "pseudo-file" archives of CDs, folders, and volumes.
Installation of FTPortal is straightforward. Just place it in your Applications folder, or any other location that you find convenient. You can install the contextual menu and preference pane by either running the Installer or placing the pieces in the appropriate folders, namely the "Contextual Menu Items" and "PreferencePanes" folders of your Library.
Overall, FTPortal is an excellent tool for frequent FTP uploading, and it's simple to use, install, and personalize.
