GAdmin-Bind is a user-friendly graphical interface for ISC BIND, utilizing GTK+, facilitating comprehensive usage, read and retrieval of DNS information.
To get started with GAdmin-BIND, there are specific requirements you must meet. Firstly, you need to have ISC BIND and GTK+ installed on your system. Without these two components, GAdmin-BIND cannot be installed.
During the installation process, ensure you provide the correct configure options as GAdmin-BIND cannot be installed without them. Please take note that Named will be running in a chroot environment, and the default location is /var/named. Additionally, GAdmin-BIND will only set up the required environment if it's missing. You can find more information on the Autoinstall file about the various configure options available.
Furthermore, GAdmin-BIND needs other binaries such as BIND (named, rndc, rndc-confgen, dig), mv, cp, mknod, chmod, chown, and sed to function effectively.
GAdmin-BIND works seamlessly on several systems, including Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Darwin Mac OSX, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and SunOS. If it doesn't work seamlessly on your system, you should send an email detailing how to correct it, preferably with a patch.
In this new release, GAdmin-BIND comes with several exciting features. The latest release comes with the GPL of ip_handlings and more importantly, the developers are celebrating a birthday.
