The game control program is a project that assists in managing game servers. Its primary function is to automate player kicking, facilitating streamlined server administration.
With the current modules, the game control program allows you to start and stop servers, create and rotate log files, and administer servers remotely via telnet. One of the standout features of this program is its automatic kicking system, which is based on a set of configurable rules. For example, you can set rules based on a client's high rate, which will then automatically kick them out of the game.
Other key features of the game control program include the ability to monitor servers for any issues and automatically restart them if necessary. You can also send commands to running servers (including Quake, QW, Q2, and Q3) and schedule timed startup and shutdown of servers.
In the latest release of the game control program, several updates have been made to improve functionality. The package and module names have been renamed, and a new module called CommandScheduler has been added. This module allows you to send commands to the server at defined intervals, and you can choose between sending commands as RCon commands, performing a server kill, startup, or shutdown.
