Gcdmaster is a graphical interface for managing cdrdao, a CD mastering tool.
Notably, Gcdmaster supports disc-at-once (DAO) mode and has full control over pre-gaps, including lengths down to 0, nonzero audio data and sub-channel information like ISRC codes and CDTEXT. Additionally, GCDMaster also permits on-the-fly CD copying.
One of the significant advantages of Gcdmaster is its easy-to-use graphical interface. The software enables users to work efficiently with its multiple projects support, the ability to play Audio CD images, easy dump of CDs to disk, and CD to CD copy. Users can also compose new Audio CDs from wav files, graphically insert Track Marks to divide live recordings, and modify CD-TEXT easily.
However, to run this application effectively, users need to have GTK+ version 2.4.x. Other requirements include Gcdmaster depending on the C++ Gtk bindings, API version 2.4 (gtkmm 2.4, libgnomemm 2.6, libgnomeuimm 2.6 or higher). Overall, Gcdmaster is an excellent software that is easy to use, and its GUI makes it practical to handle various audio tasks with ease.
