Geepeeyes is an add-on for the free edition of Google Earth that allows GPS support and is compatible with the NMEA protocol.
Geepeeyes began as a mere concept looking to integrate GPS functionality with Google Earth. While Plus and Pro editions of Google Earth support this feature, it is limited to Garmin and Magellan devices and does not come in the free edition. However, with geepeeyes, GPS functionality becomes available in Google Earth (Free edition).
The software boasts impressive satellite images, making it feel as if you're looking at the real thing rather than just "naked" road maps. This feature is what motivated the team to develop geepeeyes, and they have succeeded in creating a software that makes wrong turns, missing street names, and the absence of reliable directions a thing of the past (well, almost).
The software presents the GPS functionality on Google Earth in such a cool way that it feels like playing a game (which is dangerous if you're driving). Overall, if you're looking to integrate GPS functionality with Google Earth, geepeeyes is a must-have software.
