Glipper manages and stores clipboard data on GNOME.
The latest version of Glipper, 1.0, is a complete rewrite of the application, featuring a switch to Python from C programming language. This change has made the code more streamlined and easier to understand. However, this also means that Glipper is now exclusively a GNOME panel applet and requires gconf for configuration storage. If you do not use GNOME, earlier versions of the application are still available.
This rewrite also necessitated the discontinuation of language translations, leaving Glipper only available in English, German, and Italian. Nonetheless, interested users can join the mailing list to suggest translations or report bugs. Glipper users should be sure to remove their old ".glipper" directory before installing version 1.0 or risk experiencing issues. Give the latest Glipper release a try and enjoy its robust features.
