GMediaServer is a software application that functions as a music media server using the UPnP protocol.
Using the built-in http server of libupnp, GMediaServer ensures seamless streaming of audio files to clients. It has been tested and confirmed to work perfectly with a range of media devices including NETGEAR MP101, Linksys WMLS11B and WML11B, Philips Streamium SL300i and RC9800i, and Omnify DMS1. GMediaServer is a free software which is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It is usually run in the background as a console based application.
