Gneutronica is a Linux software with a Gnome/GTK interface that functions as a MIDI drum machine.
Gneutronica requires you to have the GTK+ version 2.0.x installed on your device. Once you have this, you're good to go. The Gneutronica team has also added some cool new features to enhance the software's functionality. The latest update includes a way to transpose melodic patterns up or down. They have widened the piano notes making it more user-friendly. You can combine MIDI channels and tracks or mute them separately to record and mix them later.
Gneutronica has also fixed some major bugs where previous versions had issues. The remapping of drumkits no longer screws up melodic patterns, and the freshly loaded songs now have note off data. They have also fixed bugs that used to send program quit without sending note-off.
With these new additions, Gneutronica makes it easier and more enjoyable to create, play and share music files while having an interface that is not only user-friendly but also free.
