This is a free software system for managing networks.
With GNMS, discovering states is an easy process as you can use service, SNMP, and custom pooling to do so. Additionally, the software can effectively capture syslog and SNMP traps. The program is written in Ruby/Gtk language and employs various command-line tools such as nmap, xprobe, ping, ip, snmpget, to mention a few.
GNMS comes with default keys such as "a" for adding a host/network, "d" for deleting a node, "p" for viewing the property of a node, "i" for moving up the selected node, "k" for moving down the selected node, "j" for moving leftward, and "l" for moving rightward.
The installation process couldn't be easier; all that is required is to run the command in root: ./gnms.rb. In summary, GNMS offers a comprehensive and efficient network management solution designed to enhance the performance and stability of your network.
