Gnome Art is a software screenlet that downloads wallpapers from art.gnome.org or a designated folder and applies them as your desktop background.
Adding new images to the mix is a breeze, thanks to Gnome Art's intuitive drag-and-drop functionality. Simply select the image or images you want to add, then drag them into the window area. And if you're new to screenlets, you'll be glad to know that Screenlets is the name of a set of independently-developed widget applications and the widget engine that runs them.
Designed to run primarily on Linux-based compositing window managers (like Compiz), Screenlets offers support for web widgets, along with a wide range of other customizations. To use Gnome Art, you'll need to have both Screenlets and PIL installed on your device.
In this latest release, we've updated Gnome Art to work seamlessly with the manager, making it easier than ever to save downloaded wallpapers and manage your image collection. Plus, we've added handy new buttons directly on the screen, giving you even more control over how your desktop looks and feels.
