GnomeBaker is an application for burning CDs and DVDs that runs on the Gnome platform.
It requires a recent version of cdtools and version 2 or greater should be okay. Additionally, it supports burning via scsi and atapi on Linux kernels 2.4 and 2.6. Multi-session burning, blanking or formatting DVDs, burning Cue/Bin files, and burning data CDs on the fly are some of its other useful features.
Furthermore, drag and drop features allow users to create data CDs very quickly, and the app also supports the creation of audio CDs from existing wavs, mp3, flac and oggs. It also has integration with gconf for storage of application settings to provide a more personalized experience.
Some requirements include libgnomeui-2.0, gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4, libglade-2.0, mkisofs, libvorbis, libvorbisfile, growisofs, and gstreamer-0.8 (vorbis, mad, flac and misc packages).
In the most recent release, GnomeBaker has implemented directories-too-deep fix, fixed "Remove selected" in context menu, rename on double click, support for mp4, m4a and wma, OpenBSD support, and dropped deprecated properties from the desktop file.
Overall, GnomeBaker is a great utility if you need to burn and copy CDs and DVDs.
